Conjunctivitis
Conjunctivitis is an inflammation of the conjunctiva, the transparent membrane that covers the white part of the eye (called sclera) and the inner surface of the eyelids.
It is one of the most common eye diseases and can manifest itself in acute or chronic form. It can be caused by an infection (bacteria, viruses, fungi …), by allergies or by external factors such as cosmetics, drugs or excessive exposure to sunlight.
